Position: QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automation testing. Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing: Develop and execute automation test scripts using Java and Selenium. Design and implement robust automation frameworks to ensure efficient and reliable test execution. Collaborate with the development team to identify test scenarios and automate test cases for maximum coverage.
• Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on these requirements. Execute test cases and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects using defect tracking tools. Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve defects in a timely manner. Ensure that defects are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Test Data Management: Develop and maintain test data sets for automation testing. Ensure the availability of appropriate test data to cover various test scenarios. Collaborate with the development and QA teams to address any test data-related issues.
• Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure test environments, including test systems, databases, and other required components. Ensure that the test environments are properly isolated and representative of the production environment.
• Test Reporting and Documentation: Prepare test reports summarizing test execution results, defect status, and overall product quality. Document test processes, methodologies, and procedures. Continuously improve test documentation to ensure clarity and ease of understanding.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts. Communicate test progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-9 years of experience in QA automation testing.
• Strong proficiency in automation testing using Java and Selenium.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts for test data management.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like Jira is a plus.
• ISTQB or any relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
