Position: Automation Tester

Location: Bangalore or Pune

Job Summary: As an Automation Tester at Cloverbay Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute test scripts, covering both UI and API testing. Your expertise in automation testing tools, eCommerce domain knowledge, and understanding of testing methodologies will contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks, including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, RestAPI, Protractor, and BDD.
• Perform UI and API test automation to ensure proper functionality, performance, and reliability of our software products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Conduct thorough testing, including functional, system integration, performance, regression, and ad-hoc testing, to identify and report defects or issues.
• Utilize API testing tools such as Postman to validate API functionality and integration.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain and enhance the test automation framework and test suites for improved efficiency and scalability.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in automation testing methodologies and tools.
• Document test results, create test reports, and track defects using appropriate tools and systems.
• Mentor and assist junior team members, when required, to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 2-4 years as an Automation Tester, preferably in the eCommerce domain.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, RestAPI, Protractor, and BDD.
• In-depth knowledge of UI and API test automation, including test case design, script development, and execution.
• Proficiency in using API testing tools like Postman to validate API functionality.
• Solid understanding of testing concepts and methodologies, including functional, system integration, performance, regression, and ad-hoc testing.
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
