Position: Automation Test Lead

Location: Mumbai

Tech Mahindra, a leading global IT solutions and services company, is seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to join our team. If you have 7 to 10 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in Selenium, Java, and functional testing, we invite you to apply for this position. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to drive automation testing efforts. The position is based in Mumbai, with a competitive salary ranging from 16 lpa to 24 lpa.

Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing: Lead the automation testing efforts for various projects. Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium and Java. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the automation framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation test strategies and identify areas for automation.
• Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define test objectives, scope, and test strategies. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements. Execute test cases and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Test Automation Framework: Design and maintain the test automation framework to support efficient test script development and execution. Incorporate best practices and industry standards to enhance the automation framework’s functionality and effectiveness. Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in the automation testing space.
• Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the automation testing team. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their automation testing skills. Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations. Collaborate with other leads and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across teams.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and objectives. Communicate test progress, results, and any potential risks or issues to project stakeholders in a timely manner. Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication within the team.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the automation testing processes and methodologies. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency. Implement industry best practices and ensure adherence to quality standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Experience: The ideal candidate should have 7 to 10 years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on Selenium and Java.
• Selenium and Java: Strong hands-on experience in Selenium automation using Java. Proficiency in developing robust and scalable automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver. Solid understanding of Java programming language and its related frameworks.
• Functional Testing: Expertise in functional testing methodologies and techniques. Ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios based on functional requirements. Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting defects to identify root causes.
• Test Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills in leading automation testing efforts. Ability to guide and mentor a team of automation testers. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders. Strong presentation and reporting skills.
• Process Improvement: Proactive mindset towards process improvement and optimization. Experience in implementing industry best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
