Position: Test Engineer

Summary: We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Test Engineer to join our team at ShivSoft Experts. As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective testing and validation processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of both Automation and Manual Testing, possess expertise in White Box and Black Box Testing techniques, and be familiar with QA automation and Agile Methodology. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance, to define test strategies and identify test requirements.
• Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Execute manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
• Conduct rigorous testing of features, identifying defects, and working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for continuous testing and integration.
• Perform regression testing and support ongoing maintenance of test suites to ensure software reliability.
• Analyze test results and communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.
• Participate in agile development processes, actively contributing to sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the testing process.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Automation and Manual Testing:
   • Proficiency in both automated and manual testing methodologies.
   • Strong experience with test design, test execution, and defect management.
   • Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
2. White Box and Black Box Testing:
   • Solid understanding of white box testing techniques, including code coverage and debugging.
   • Thorough knowledge of black box testing, encompassing functional, integration, and system testing.
3. QA Automation and Agile Methodology:
   • Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
   • Understanding of Agile development processes and working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
4. Technical Skills:
   • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, C#, or similar.
   • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
   • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
5. Problem-Solving Skills:
   • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
   • Proven track record of thinking critically and creatively to improve testing processes.
6. Communication and Teamwork:
   • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey testing results and collaborate with team members.
   • Ability to work well within a team, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar testing role.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus but not mandatory.
