Job Summary: As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at WebKorps, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your expertise in automation testing and software development practices will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust test frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate software functionalities, identify and report defects, and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Testing: Utilize your 5+ years of experience in automation testing to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for various software products.
- Test Framework Development: Design and implement robust test frameworks to support automated testing efforts, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling efficient and automated testing.
- Scripting and Coding: Use your scripting and coding skills to write automation test scripts and enhance testing efficiency.
- Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the QA team and stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for different projects.
- Test Execution and Defect Reporting: Execute test cases and accurately report defects, providing detailed information for easy identification and resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to validate software updates and ensure that new features do not impact existing functionalities.
- Performance Testing: Collaborate with the performance testing team to validate software performance and identify bottlenecks for optimization.
- Test Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test plans, and test results to ensure complete test coverage and reporting.
- Quality Assurance Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, with a strong focus on automation testing.
- Proficiency in developing and executing automated test scripts using automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) for automated testing.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test script development.
- Familiarity with testing web applications, mobile applications, and API services.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with performance testing tools and techniques will be a plus.
