Role Overview:
As an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Professional at TELUS International India, you will be a vital part of our Quality Assurance and Testing team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement test automation frameworks, conduct API testing, and execute end-to-end test scenarios using various automation tools and methodologies.

- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber Framework, and other automation tools to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.
- API Testing: Conduct API testing to ensure seamless integration and communication between different software components.
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Implement Behavior-Driven Development practices using Cucumber Framework to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementations.
- Automation Frameworks: Leverage Robot Framework and Karate Framework to design and develop robust automation frameworks for effective and efficient test automation.
- Defect Management: Utilize JIRA to track and manage defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Test Strategy: Collaborate with the QA team to design and implement comprehensive test strategies, ensuring maximum test coverage.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to facilitate faster and more reliable releases.
- Test Reporting: Generate detailed test reports, analyze test results, and communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies and share best practices with the team to improve testing efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: You should have 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in Automation Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Automation Testing: Strong proficiency in Automation Testing using Java and Selenium.
- API Testing: Hands-on experience in API testing to ensure seamless integration.
- BDD Tools: Familiarity with BDD practices and experience with Cucumber Framework for effective collaboration.
- Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in Robot Framework and Karate Framework to design and develop automation frameworks.
- Defect Tracking: Experience in using JIRA or similar tools for defect tracking and management.
- Continuous Learning: A keen interest in staying updated with the latest testing tools and technologies.
- Team Leadership: For Sr. SDET/ Module Lead roles, demonstrated experience in leading teams and mentoring junior members.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
