Position: QA Engineer – API Automation Testing

Location: PAN India

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in testing APIs and should possess 3.6 to 8 years of relevant experience. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated tests for APIs. Responsibilities:

As a QA Engineer with a focus on API automation testing at Hexaware Technologies, you will be responsible for performing various testing activities related to APIs. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. API Test Planning: Collaborate with the testing team and project stakeholders to create comprehensive test plans and test cases for API testing based on project requirements.
2. API Test Design: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing, ensuring extensive test coverage and accuracy.
3. API Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results, identifying and documenting defects as necessary.
4. API Test Data Management: Create and manage test data required for API automation testing processes.
5. API Test Framework Enhancement: Enhance and optimize the existing API test automation framework to improve test coverage and efficiency.
6. API Bug Tracking and Reporting: Log API defects using bug tracking tools and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
7. API Test Integration: Integrate API test suites into the continuous integration process for regular and reliable testing.
8. Collaborative Approach: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth testing process and efficient defect resolution.
9. API Performance and Security Testing: Contribute to performance and security testing efforts for APIs as required.
10. API Test Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation for API test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Requirements:

1. Experience: 3.6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in API automation testing.
2. API Testing: Strong expertise in API testing and API automation testing.
3. Testing Tools: Proficiency in using API testing tools and frameworks.
4. Shift Timing: Flexibility to work in different shifts as per project requirements.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
6. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective testing solutions.
7. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in test case design and execution.
8. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
