- Functional Testing: Demonstrate strong functional testing concepts and technical capabilities to automate given requirements, ensuring thorough test coverage.
- Database and Unix: Utilize hands-on experience in database technologies such as SQL Server/Oracle and working in Unix environments to perform effective testing.
- Programming Skills: Exhibit strong programming skills with hands-on experience in Java, Cucumber, TestNG, and Selenium to develop and execute automated test scripts.
- XPATH and Data Formats: Develop effective and accurate XPATH expressions and work programmatically with JSON and XML data using Java for modification and read operations.
- Code Versioning: Work with code versioning tools like Git, resolving conflicts, branching, and creating pull requests.
- UI Development: Have a good understanding of UI Development platforms and how UI renders, events, and DOM operations, enhancing test scenarios for UI validation.
- API Automation: Familiarity with API automation using Rest Assured would be a great advantage.
- Communication Skills: Possess effective verbal and written English communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Functional Testing: Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in functional testing, ensuring the software meets specified requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Be a good team player, actively communicating and collaborating with colleagues both within and outside the team.
- Proactive Learning: Show a proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and industry best practices.
- Finance Markets: An understanding of finance markets and financial products will be an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of testing experience, with at least 5 years in automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Cucumber, TestNG, and Selenium for test automation.
- Proficiency in working with databases like SQL Server/Oracle and Unix environments.
- Knowledge of writing effective and accurate XPATH expressions.
- Experience working with JSON and XML data programmatically using Java.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
- Strong understanding of UI Development platforms and UI rendering processes.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
