Position: Mobile Application Tester (Manual and Automation)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement automation test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks to ensure the efficient and accurate validation of mobile applications.
2. Maintain and enhance the automation testing framework to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and test coverage.
3. Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify failures, defects, and issues, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA team members, to define and enhance the mobile testing strategy and processes.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in mobile application testing and recommend improvements to enhance the quality and user experience of our applications.
6. Perform data validation and testing to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of analytics and data-driven features within the mobile applications.
7. Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize areas for test automation and continuously expand the automation test suite.
8. Conduct manual testing of mobile applications, including functional testing, usability testing, and exploratory testing, to identify and report defects and usability issues.
9. Work closely with Product Managers to understand user requirements and ensure that the mobile applications meet the specified criteria.
10. Assist in creating and maintaining test data and test environments required for mobile application testing.
11. Provide timely and comprehensive test status reports to project stakeholders, including test progress, test coverage, defects, and quality metrics.
12. Contribute to the development and maintenance of bug tracking systems and test management tools for effective defect tracking and test execution.
13. Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Mobile Application Tester with hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
4. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
5. Solid understanding of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and their respective design guidelines, along with the ability to test across multiple devices and operating systems.
6. Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using scripting languages such as Java or Python is a plus.
7. Proficiency in using bug tracking systems and test management tools to document defects and test results.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering high-quality software applications.
10. Ability to adapt to changing requirements, priorities, and project timelines.
