Position: Manual Software Tester

Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of software applications and systems to identify and report defects, bugs, and usability issues.
- Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand software requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
- Conduct thorough testing of software components, including user interfaces, data validation, performance, and security.
- Utilize industry-standard test management tools like Jira to document and track test cases, test results, and defects.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not introduce new issues.
- Participate in test case reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve the overall quality of the software development process.
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues and provide detailed bug reports.
- Develop a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in manual testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 1-3 years of experience in software manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using test management tools like Jira for test case management and defect tracking.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple testing tasks simultaneously.
- ISTQB certification or any other relevant certifications in software testing is a plus.
