Position: Manual Tester

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive manual testing of our software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and user requirements.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify defects, usability issues, and performance problems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand software requirements and functionality.
  • Participate in the review of functional and technical specifications to identify potential areas for testing and provide feedback on requirements.
  • Execute various testing techniques, such as functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system, ensuring that issues are properly communicated and resolved.
  • Reproduce reported issues and provide clear and detailed steps to replicate them for developers to investigate and resolve.
  • Collaborate with the development team to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, ensuring that software defects are fixed in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress, including test execution, defect status, and any potential risks or issues.
  • Participate in team meetings, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning, to provide input on testing efforts and collaborate on overall project goals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting enhancements to methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in a software development or quality assurance role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficient in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Solid knowledge of different types of testing, such as functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using bug tracking systems.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues, providing clear and detailed steps to reproduce them.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Salary and Benefits:

  • The salary for this position ranges from 2 to 2.5 LPA (Lakhs per annum) based on experience and qualifications.
  • This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own location.
