Position: Lead QA Engineer / Manager
Location: Bangalore
Job Description: As a Lead QA Engineer / Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective leadership and hands-on involvement in API testing. You should have a strong background in API testing methodologies and tools, with expertise in using Postman. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading a team of QA engineers and coordinating testing activities across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentoring.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute QA activities across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for API testing.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, ensuring thorough testing of APIs and verifying their functionality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of QA processes.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide valuable input from a quality perspective.
- Identify and prioritize areas of improvement in the QA process, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in QA testing.
- Mentor and train junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in API testing and quality assurance.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on API testing.
- Expertise in API testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in using Postman for API testing and validation.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues effectively.
- Strong leadership and management abilities, with experience in leading a team of QA engineers.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
