In the role of Test Engineer, you would be responsible for Designing and execution of test scenarios / test cases for product APAR for IBM Storage family of storage products like Spectrum Protect & Protect Plus

Technical Skills

This role requires 8-12 years of relevant storage industry experience, preferably with prior experience in designing and testing storage Software. You should have BE in Computer Science and Electronics with proven track record of technical leadership for software development. Should have skillset and experience on testing products on.

Windows & Unix platform
Automation skills & experience using , Java, Perl, Python, Ansible ,CBA
Knowledge & Experience of VMWare, Hyper-V
Knowledge & Experience of any database like Oracke, SQL, DB2, Mongo DB
Having exposure to Jenkin pipeline along with Github/Zenhub is added advantage.
Good Knowledge of Test processes and tools, RTC , Test Plan and execution records needed
Experience working with Containers/Openshift/Kubernetes
Prior experience of working on high performance scalable storage software development preferable
Understanding and experience of working in Agile methodology across global teams
Cloud development with any or all of cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP is preferred

Soft skills

Proven written/verbal communication skills and ability to represent team in communication with global teams
High performing team player with ability to mentor and guide junior team members
Ability to work independently on component/feature for end to end development
