Position: WiFi/WLAN Test Engineer
Location: Kochi, India
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for WiFi/WLAN products and solutions.
- Perform functional, performance, and regression testing of wireless networking features.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to WiFi/WLAN protocols, network connectivity, and interoperability.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and customer use cases.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability, performance, and scalability aspects.
- Utilize industry-standard testing tools and equipment to conduct wireless network testing.
- Perform analysis of test results and provide clear and concise reports to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Work closely with the automation team to identify opportunities for test automation and contribute to automation efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging WiFi/WLAN technologies to ensure up-to-date knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the resolution of customer-reported issues.
- Contribute to the improvement of the testing process and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a WiFi/WLAN Test Engineer.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in WiFi/WLAN testing.
- In-depth understanding of wireless networking protocols, standards, and technologies (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for WiFi/WLAN testing, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and packet analyzers.
- Familiarity with WiFi/WLAN testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and interoperability testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience in test planning, test design, and test execution for WiFi/WLAN products and solutions.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks for WiFi/WLAN testing is a plus.
- Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
