Position: Test Lead
Location: Hyderabad, India
Cigniti, a global leader in independent software testing and quality engineering services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to join our team in Hyderabad. As a Test Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the testing activities for our clients’ projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automation testing, including proficiency in tools like Selenium and QTP. Experience in API testing and IVR testing is essential. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of testers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to understand project requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Define test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring thorough test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct both manual and automation testing using tools like Selenium, ensuring efficient and accurate test execution.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using QTP (QuickTest Professional) tool, VB Scripting, and Perl Scripting.
- Conduct API testing to validate data exchange and integration between different systems.
- Perform IVR (Interactive Voice Response) testing to ensure seamless functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate with development teams to analyze and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, providing regular status updates and test metrics to project stakeholders.
- Identify, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools, ensuring clear and detailed information for efficient resolution.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Lead, with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in manual and automation testing methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in using Selenium for web-based automation testing.
- Work experience on QTP (QuickTest Professional) tool, VB Scripting, and Perl Scripting for automation testing.
- Experience in API testing, including RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) testing and related tools.
- Experience in testing both web-based and mobile applications.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team of testers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and reproduce software defects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
