Position: Test Engineer
Location: Bengaluru
Responsibilities:
- Understand the test requirements and design test cases for the product.
- Author test plans based on business requirements and testable requirements.
- Implement Wipro’s way of testing using model-based testing and achieve efficient test generation.
- Ensure peer review of test cases to minimize rework.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases, ensuring version control.
- Define criteria, parameters, and scope/out-scope of testing and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automate the test life cycle process using tools like VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.
- Design and execute the automation framework and generate comprehensive reports.
- Develop and automate tests for software validation, including setting up test environments, designing test plans, and developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases.
- Raise test defects according to project/program/account norms, with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
- Detect and report bug issues, preparing defect reports and monitoring test progress.
- Ensure timely delivery of work items within Wipro/Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and norms.
- Design and release test status dashboards at the end of each test execution cycle to stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace results to quality risks, and report them to concerned stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong understanding of test requirements and test case design.
- Knowledge of business requirements and the ability to translate them into testable requirements.
- Familiarity with Wipro’s way of testing and model-based testing approaches.
- Experience in test case peer review and minimizing rework.
- Ability to collaborate with the development team and capture test cases while ensuring version control.
- Proficiency in test planning, including setting criteria, parameters, and scope/out-scope of testing.
- Involvement in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Automation skills using tools such as VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.
