Position: Test Engineer
Location: Chennai
GreenStart, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Test Engineer to join our team in Chennai. We are looking for individuals with 1-4 years of experience in software testing, who are passionate about quality assurance and have a strong attention to detail. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our software products.
Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases and report defects, ensuring thorough test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to identify and report software defects.
- Participate in the planning and estimation of testing efforts for projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to software testing.
- Provide timely and accurate status updates to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the QA team to identify areas for test automation and develop automated test scripts.
- Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of testing tools and frameworks.
- Mentor junior team members and assist in their professional development.
Requirements:
- 1-4 years of experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and processes.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
- Experience with functional, regression, and integration testing of software applications.
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
