Position: QA Tester

Location: Remote

The Horsetails, a leading software development company, is currently seeking a skilled QA Tester to join our team. As a QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing. This is a remote position, providing you the flexibility to work from anywhere. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of software products to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.
  • Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on project requirements.
  • Perform both functional and non-functional testing, including regression testing, to ensure software stability.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to understand project specifications and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Utilize test management software to organize and track test cases, test results, and defects.
  • Report defects using appropriate tools, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and troubleshoot issues, and verify bug fixes.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously enhance and update testing methodologies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing regular status updates on testing progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in QA testing.
  • Experience working in Agile frameworks and familiarity with regression testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills to identify and report software defects effectively.
  • Proficiency in using test management software to organize and track testing activities.
  • Good working knowledge of programming languages to understand software behavior and identify potential issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate testing results and collaborate with team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.
