Position: QA
Location: Pune
Fortinet Pune is a leading global provider of cybersecurity solutions, and we are currently hiring for two QA openings in our team. We are looking for candidates with 2 to 6 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of testing types, including automation, manual, API, and performance testing. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Perform manual and automated testing of software applications to ensure their quality and functionality.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
- Adapt quickly to changes in project scope, requirements, and timelines.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Utilize Linux commands to perform testing and troubleshoot issues.
- Work closely with development teams to understand the software architecture and design.
- Apply industry best practices and methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to report test results, defects, and progress.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the testing process and product quality.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills in software testing and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- 2 to 6 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
- Flexibility to work on different types of testing, including automation, manual, API, and performance testing.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changes.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Good understanding of Linux commands and their application in testing.
- Experience working in a product company and familiarity with the security domain are added advantages.
- Self-driven, passionate, and a team player with a “can-do” attitude.
- Hands-on experience in at least one programming language, such as Java or Python.
- Ability to interpret directions and work independently to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and aligned with software quality assurance best practices.
