Position: QA Lead
Location: Chennai
Ziffity Solutions, a leading software development company, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated QA Lead to join our team in Chennai. As a QA Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective leadership and the implementation of industry best practices. Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of QA engineers in planning, executing, and managing all aspects of the software testing process.
- Define and implement QA processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistent and efficient testing practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to understand project requirements and establish test strategies and plans.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the QA team, including mentoring and training team members on testing best practices and tools.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and design specifications.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, etc., to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of testing activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, to ensure QA deliverables are effectively integrated into the development cycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and manage the resolution of defects and ensure timely release of high-quality software products.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance and test automation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading QA teams.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, with expertise in both manual and automated testing.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members, promote collaboration, and drive results.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, etc., with hands-on experience in designing and implementing automated test scripts.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development methodologies and experience in working in Agile teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in software quality assurance and testing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Candidates with a quick notice period or maximum of 30 days’ notice period will be preferred.
