Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. The QA Engineer will be responsible for manual testing, test case development, test plan creation, test automation using Selenium Java and WebDriver, API testing using tools like Postman, Rest, Swagger, and ensuring the quality of our software products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing on software applications, identifying defects and recording test results.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans based on project requirements.
  • Design and execute automated test scripts using Selenium Java, WebDriver, and TestNG.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Rest, Swagger to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings to provide input on software quality and suggest improvements.
  • Set up and maintain CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps or CircleCI for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Utilize SQL for database testing, data validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Azure TFS and TestRail for test case management and defect tracking.
  • Use monitoring and debugging tools like Datadog, Charles, and Inspect to analyze application performance and identify issues.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members, assisting in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2.5-4 years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong experience in manual testing, including writing test cases and test plans.
  • Proficiency in test automation using Selenium Java, WebDriver, and TestNG.
  • Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, Rest, Swagger.
  • Familiarity with CICD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to write complex queries for database testing.
  • Familiarity with Azure TFS and TestRail for test case management and defect tracking.
  • Experience with monitoring and debugging tools like Datadog, Charles, and Inspect.
  • Familiarity with Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-platform testing is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
