Position: QA Engineer
Location: Pune
Job Description: As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our software solutions through comprehensive data testing and validation. You should have a strong understanding of data validation techniques, with experience in Business Intelligence dashboards, preferably Microsoft PowerBI. Additionally, you should possess strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting, as well as experience in building test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of data testing techniques and scenarios, with experience in Business Intelligence dashboards, preferably Microsoft PowerBI.
- Utilize Power Query in Excel for reconciling data between spreadsheets and ensuring data accuracy.
- Strong SQL skills to validate data and troubleshoot data mismatches, identifying and addressing root causes.
- Experience in building test strategies, test plans, test cases, test execution, and test closure reports.
- Manage the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase of projects by interacting with end users and stakeholders to ensure completion of testing before the Go-Live phase.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, develop test scenarios, and execute testing activities.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology, utilizing tools such as Jira for project management and issue tracking.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud service components like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and PowerBI (basic knowledge is preferred).
- Knowledge of the manufacturing domain is a plus.
- Understanding of SAP and SAP Extractors is desirable.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong focus on data testing and validation.
- Strong knowledge and experience in data validation techniques and scenarios.
- Exposure to Business Intelligence dashboards, preferably Microsoft PowerBI.
- Proficiency in using Power Query in Excel for data reconciliation.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience in building test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools like Jira.
