Position: QA Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad, India
Responsibilities:
- Perform both automation and manual testing of software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing objectives.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
- Execute test cases and analyze test results to identify defects and issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and resolve reported defects.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, including implementing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews, feature discussions, and other team meetings to ensure quality standards are met.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and suggest improvements for product enhancements.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and communicate any potential risks or challenges to the project team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a software development or cloud solutions company.
- Strong experience in both automation and manual testing.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
- Familiarity with testing cloud-based solutions, including web applications and APIs.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) processes.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA or TestRail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate testing results and issues.
