Job Description:

Position Overview:

Thinkitive Technologies is looking for a dedicated and talented QA (Manual Testing) professional to join our growing team. As a QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This role is based in Pune and involves working from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
    • Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  2. Test Case Design and Execution:
    • Create detailed and well-structured test cases and test suites based on project requirements.
    • Execute manual tests to evaluate product functionality and performance.
  3. Defect Tracking and Reporting:
    • Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools.
    • Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  4. SDLC and STLC Compliance:
    • Ensure that testing activities align with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes.
  5. Agile Methodology:
    • Work within an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint retrospectives.
  6. API Testing (Good to Have):
    • Conduct API testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality (if applicable).
  7. Test Scenarios and Test Data:
    • Develop and maintain test scenarios and test data to support test case execution.
  8. Continuous Learning and Improvement:
    • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in manual testing.
  9. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and priorities.
    • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 1-3 years in manual testing roles.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Good to have experience with API testing.
