Position: QA Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for various testing phases.
- Perform manual testing for web applications, mobile applications, and databases.
- Execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in test design reviews to ensure test cases align with business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand the functional and technical aspects of the software solutions.
- Conduct database testing to validate data integrity and accuracy.
- Perform server-side testing to ensure the smooth functioning of backend systems.
- Identify and report defects using established defect tracking systems.
- Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of software solutions after changes or enhancements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address any concerns or issues during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide clear and concise reports on test progress, defects, and overall quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Expertise in the banking domain is required.
- Strong knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman.
- Proficiency in manual testing for web applications, mobile applications, and databases.
- Experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium.
- Familiarity with database testing and server-side testing.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems and processes.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with agile development processes is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
