Job Description: As a Mobile Automation Testing professional with expertise in Appium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Appium, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for both Android and iOS platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand requirements and develop effective testing strategies. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to troubleshoot issues will be vital in identifying and documenting software defects and ensuring timely resolution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute automated test scripts using Appium to test the functionality, performance, and usability of mobile applications across multiple platforms (Android and iOS).
  2. Design and maintain test cases, test data, and test environments to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide input on testability and usability aspects.
  4. Conduct thorough functional, regression, and performance testing of mobile applications.
  5. Identify, analyze, and document software defects and issues, ensuring their timely resolution.
  6. Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues, providing detailed and actionable bug reports.
  7. Continuously improve test processes, methodologies, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to mobile automation testing.
  9. Collaborate with the QA team to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned.
  10. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Mobile Automation Testing, with a focus on Appium.
  3. Strong expertise in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Appium for mobile applications.
  4. Solid understanding of mobile testing concepts, frameworks, and tools.
  5. Experience in testing both Android and iOS applications.
  6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and document software defects accurately.
  8. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in Agile teams.
  9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  10. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality mobile applications.
  11. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
