Position: Senior Functional Testers
Location: Chennai, India

We are currently seeking experienced Senior Functional Testers to join our team in Chennai. As a Senior Functional Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions by conducting functional manual testing, mobile testing, accessibility testing, and API testing. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Conduct functional manual testing to validate the functionality and usability of software applications.
- Perform mobile testing to ensure the compatibility and performance of applications across different mobile platforms and devices.
- Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Perform API testing to verify the functionality and reliability of web services.
- Utilize tools such as HP ALM, Jira, and Postman for test management, defect tracking, and API testing.
- Design and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate the software against specified requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate bug tracking tools.
- Analyze test results, provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders, and assist in root cause analysis of issues.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in testing methodologies, best practices, and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in functional testing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process, tools, and frameworks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Functional Tester or in a similar role, with a minimum of 8-9 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in functional manual testing, mobile testing, accessibility testing, and API testing.
- Familiarity with the banking domain is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in test management tools such as HP ALM and defect tracking tools like Jira.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ISTQB certification or any relevant certifications in software testing is a plus.
