Job Summary: Mouritech, a leading technology company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Test Manager to join our team in Bangalore. As a Test Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products by effectively managing the testing process. You will be responsible for project management, test management, system integration testing, UAT testing planning and coordination, test metrics, tracking and reporting of test progress, issues, and risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of various testing methodologies. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end testing process, including test planning, test execution, and test closure, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define test strategies, test objectives, and test plans based on project requirements and timelines.
  • Coordinate and schedule system integration testing and UAT testing activities, ensuring proper resource allocation and efficient test execution.
  • Develop and implement test metrics to track and report on test progress, issues, and risks, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Utilize Jira/Confluence or similar tools for test case management, defect tracking, and collaboration with the development team.
  • Effectively manage a team of testers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback, and ensuring the team’s adherence to testing best practices.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the testing process, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing impact on project timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Provide accurate estimations for test effort, resource requirements, and timelines, contributing to project planning and decision-making.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in testing methodologies, incorporating them into the testing process as appropriate.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team, promoting innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • 9-10 years of experience in software testing, with a specific focus on test management and leadership roles.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Extensive experience in system integration testing and UAT testing planning and coordination.
  • Proficiency in test metrics, tracking, and reporting of test progress, issues, and risks.
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence or similar tools for test case management and defect tracking.
  • Excellent team management and leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team of testers.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate with project stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in risk identification, mitigation, and problem-solving.
  • Strong estimation skills, with the ability to accurately assess test effort, resource requirements, and timelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
