Position: Manual Tester

Location: Mumbai, India

Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual test cases and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications.
  • Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during the testing process, ensuring accurate and detailed bug reports.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and debug reported issues, and follow up on their resolution.
  • Participate in test plan and test case creation, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate the software’s compliance with specifications and user expectations.
  • Validate data integrity and accuracy by conducting data validation and verification tests.
  • Conduct usability and accessibility testing to ensure a smooth user experience and compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing requirements and objectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by providing feedback and suggestions for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in manual testing methodologies and tools.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in a software development or testing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools and bug tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and the testing process.
  • Experience in creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Good understanding of functional and non-functional testing concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate defects and issues to the development team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certification is a plus.
