Position: QA Engineer

Location: Delhi/Gurgaon, India

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of Android TV STBs to ensure their functionality, performance, and quality.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements, features, and specifications.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Android TV STB testing.
• Conduct STB testing with a focus on NDS/Synamedia STB testing, Android device testing, and OTT solutions.
• Validate the Android TV framework, middleware, and ensure adherence to GMS certifications.
• Perform network configuration testing and ensure compatibility with various network setups.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and accurately document and report issues to the development team.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Provide valuable feedback on product usability, functionality, and performance to improve the overall user experience.
• Collaborate with QA team members to share knowledge, best practices, and testing techniques.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in QA methodologies.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on manual testing.
• Strong experience in STB testing, preferably in the NDS/Synamedia STB testing domain.
• Proficiency in Android device testing, including Android TV.
• Knowledge of Linear TV, CAS, and OTT testing concepts.
• Understanding of test processes, test planning, and test design.
• Familiarity with Android TV frameworks, middleware, and GMS certifications.
• Working knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze requirements, absorb multiple requirements, and provide effective issue analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certification is a plus.
