Position: Manual Tester

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, usability, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform regression testing to verify the impact of code changes and ensure the overall system stability.
- Execute functional testing to validate the software against the business requirements.
- Perform smoke and sanity testing to ensure basic functionality and stability of the system.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on the project requirements.
- Document the testing activities, including test plans, test reports, and test results.
- Identify, document, and track bugs/defects in the defect tracking system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
- Participate in test planning and test strategy discussions to define effective testing approaches.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with the development team to provide feedback on software quality and suggest improvements.
- Perform ad-hoc testing and exploratory testing as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in manual testing.
- Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and processes.
- Experience in regression testing, functional testing, smoke/sanity testing, and writing test cases.
- Proficiency in documenting test cases, test scenarios, and test results.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems, such as Jira, to raise and track bugs/defects.
- Good knowledge of Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, Angular, and Linux commands.
- Experience with tools like MobaXterm, Jira, and WinSCP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
