Position: Manual Tester

Location: Pan India

About the Company: Spruce InfoTech, Inc is a leading IT solutions provider, and we are currently hiring for the position of Manual Tester. Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, usability, and adherence to specifications.
  2. Perform regression testing to verify the impact of code changes and ensure the overall system stability.
  3. Execute functional testing to validate the software against the business requirements.
  4. Perform smoke and sanity testing to ensure basic functionality and stability of the system.
  5. Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on the project requirements.
  6. Document the testing activities, including test plans, test reports, and test results.
  7. Identify, document, and track bugs/defects in the defect tracking system.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
  9. Participate in test planning and test strategy discussions to define effective testing approaches.
  10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and testing methodologies.
  11. Collaborate with the development team to provide feedback on software quality and suggest improvements.
  12. Perform ad-hoc testing and exploratory testing as required.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 4 years of experience in manual testing.
  2. Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and processes.
  3. Experience in regression testing, functional testing, smoke/sanity testing, and writing test cases.
  4. Proficiency in documenting test cases, test scenarios, and test results.
  5. Familiarity with defect tracking systems, such as Jira, to raise and track bugs/defects.
  6. Good knowledge of Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, Angular, and Linux commands.
  7. Experience with tools like MobaXterm, Jira, and WinSCP.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
