- Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects, verify functionality, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and Appium.
- API Testing: Verify the functionality, performance, and security of APIs through comprehensive testing.
- SQL Skills: Utilize SQL for database testing, data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed test plans, including test scope, objectives, resources, schedule, and deliverables.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes or updates do not introduce new defects into the existing software.
- Test Reporting: Generate and communicate test reports, highlighting test progress, results, and issues to project stakeholders using JIRA or similar tools.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and testing procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and project managers to ensure clear communication and alignment on quality objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in software testing, with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium and Appium.
- Strong knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools.
- SQL skills for database testing and data validation.
- Experience using JIRA or similar tools for test management and defect tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
