Position: Manual Tester
Location: Kochi & Trivandrum (Work from Office – Only considering candidates from Kerala)
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days
PlaceElements, a leading IT solutions provider, is currently seeking experienced Manual Testers to join our team. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in web testing, mobile testing, and API testing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent testing and test design skills, including scenario identification, test case identification, and defect identification with a focus on test coverage. Automation testing skills will be an added advantage. Proficiency in DB testing and SQL is also required. Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience with JIRA is highly appreciated.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform web testing, mobile testing, and API testing to validate software functionality across different platforms.
- Utilize strong testing and test design skills to identify scenarios, test cases, and defects with a focus on comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders, to understand requirements and project objectives.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Utilize JIRA for defect tracking, issue management, and project coordination.
- Conduct DB testing, including writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and verification.
- Provide accurate and timely test reports, including test coverage, defect status, and overall project quality.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in manual testing methodologies and tools.
Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of experience as a Manual Tester, with a strong background in web testing, mobile testing, and API testing.
- Strong testing and test design skills, including scenario identification, test case identification, and defect identification.
- Proficiency in web testing, mobile testing, and API testing techniques and tools.
- Automation testing skills will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of DB testing and SQL for data validation and verification.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience with JIRA is highly appreciated.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in software testing or related fields will be a plus.
