Position: Manual Tester

Location: Pune

JSM, a leading technology company, is seeking experienced Manual Testers with 6 to 9 years of QA experience to join our team in Pune. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in assessing software quality through meticulous manual and automated testing. Your attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to execute test cases will contribute to the overall quality and success of our products and systems. Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze system specifications to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to develop effective testing strategies and test plans.
  • Execute test cases, whether manual or automated, and meticulously analyze the results to identify bugs, glitches, and other software issues.
  • Evaluate product code against specifications to ensure compliance and functionality.
  • Create detailed logs to document testing phases and accurately report any defects or errors discovered during testing.
  • Report bugs and errors to the development teams promptly and provide detailed information to facilitate troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues by providing valuable insights and recommendations based on testing findings.

Required Skillset:

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and understanding of Agile methodologies for effective collaboration and timely delivery.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors accurately and provide detailed information to facilitate the resolution process.
  • Working knowledge of SQL to perform database-related testing and validate data integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and development teams.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and identify even the smallest defects or inconsistencies.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude to identify the root causes of issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage testing tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet project deadlines.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Automation testing to augment manual testing efforts and improve overall efficiency.
  • Experience with API testing to validate the functionality and reliability of APIs.
  • Experience with Mobile testing to ensure the seamless performance and user experience of mobile applications.
