Position: Manual Tester

Location: Pune

About the Company: Pune Cygnus is a leading software development company based in Pune, specializing in providing innovative solutions to clients across various industries. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Tester to join our team. As a Manual Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Review and understand system specifications, functional requirements, and design documents.
  2. Execute manual test cases and scenarios to verify the functionality, usability, and reliability of software applications.
  3. Perform database testing to validate the accuracy and integrity of data.
  4. Conduct functional testing to ensure that software applications meet the desired specifications and requirements.
  5. Identify, record, and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  7. Participate in test plan and test case reviews to provide valuable feedback and improve testing processes.
  8. Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes or enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools.

Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as a Manual Tester, with 1-3 years of experience in manual testing.
  2. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing.
  3. Proficiency in functional testing techniques and methodologies.
  4. Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management systems.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and isolate defects.
  6. Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Any graduate or post-graduate degree in a relevant field.
