Position: Functional + DB Tester
Location: Gurgaon

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to understand software requirements and testing needs.
• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and usability of software applications.
• Perform functional testing to identify and report software defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.
• Conduct database testing using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and validate the interaction between the application and the database.
• Write complex SQL queries involving joins, functions, views, triggers, and stored procedures to test database operations.
• Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test infrastructure required for testing activities.
• Participate in test plan and test case reviews, providing feedback on test coverage and quality improvements.
• Investigate and analyze customer issues and provide detailed and accurate bug reports.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and track software defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and closure of issues.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the testing efforts.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in software testing and incorporate them into the testing process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in functional testing, with a strong understanding of manual testing fundamentals.
• Extensive hands-on experience in database testing, specifically with SQL queries, joins, functions, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and database concepts for data validation and manipulation.
• Experience in the Investment Banking domain will be highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
