About the job

We are looking for a results-driven Software QA and Tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. The Software Tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the design and development team.

The candidate must be able to assess software quality through manual and automated testing as well as play a role in software development cycle. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches to improve customer experience. He/she should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, he/she will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

Location: Ahmedabad/ Valsad

Experience: 1-4 Years

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Automated Testing Tools
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
  • Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs
  • Working knowledge of programming
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Good organisational skills and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work through the product lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
  • Design and develop automation scripts when needed
  • Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle
  • Provide support and documentation
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Executing tests on software usability
  • Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
  • Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team
  • Interacting with clients to understand product requirements
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
  • Willingness to own work and problems and see through to completion and to use own initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of people
