Position: Manual Testing Engineer

Webomates, a leading software development company, is currently hiring for the position of Manual Testing Engineer. Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning and Preparation:
    • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and functional specifications.
    • Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
    • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the requirements.
    • Identify test data requirements and prepare relevant test data sets.
    • Define and document test objectives, test strategies, and test deliverables.
  2. Manual Testing Execution:
    • Execute test cases and document test results.
    • Identify and report software defects using a bug tracking system.
    • Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of the application.
    • Perform exploratory testing to uncover any hidden issues.
    • Adhere to the defined test processes and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
  3. Test Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation.
    • Prepare test summary reports and communicate the testing progress to stakeholders.
    • Provide detailed defect reports with clear steps to reproduce.
    • Create and maintain a repository of reusable test artifacts.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in manual testing.
    • Contribute to the enhancement of the overall testing process and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
  • Fresher candidates with 0-1 year of experience are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates from any batch are eligible to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify software defects.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking systems and test management tools is a plus.
  • ISTQB certification or any relevant certification is desirable.
