Job Description:
- As an Associate Software Engineer – Test Automation at ADP, you will play a crucial role in designing and building automation frameworks that enable developers to test large-scale and complex products. You will work closely with the development team to ensure the quality and reliability of software releases.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build automation frameworks:
- Collaborate with the development team to design and develop automation frameworks that facilitate efficient testing of software products.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement robust and scalable test automation solutions.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts:
- Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Create test data and test environments to support automated testing activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- Work closely with developers, quality assurance engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
Perform test analysis and defect tracking:
Analyze test results and track defects using defect tracking tools.
Communicate test progress, results, and any potential issues to the project team and stakeholders.
Continuous improvement:
- Continuously enhance and optimize the test automation frameworks and processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging tools and technologies in test automation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Good understanding of software development and test automation concepts and methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software.
