Position: Associate Quality Engineer
Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

As an Associate Quality Engineer at Finastra, your responsibilities and deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Deliver against QA engineering goals:

• Work towards achieving quality assurance objectives and deliver high-quality software products.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of software releases.
• Perform manual testing and automated testing activities leveraging Agile methodology:

• Conduct manual testing activities to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Create, re-factor, extend, and maintain automation test scripts part of CI/CD process and release process:

• Build, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Collaborate with the development team to incorporate automated testing into the release process.

Setup and maintain test environments:

• Configure and manage test environments to ensure the availability of required resources for testing activities.
• Maintain test data and test environments to support different testing scenarios.
• Perform non-functional testing as per project requirements:

• Conduct non-functional testing activities, such as performance testing, security testing, and scalability testing, based on project needs.
• Identify and report any performance bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities.

Work collaboratively across multiple teams to achieve results:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure effective communication.
• Communicate test results vs. test schedule and test plans:

• Report test results, progress, and any potential issues to the project stakeholders.
• Ensure test schedules and test plans are followed and any deviations are communicated effectively.

Required Experience:

• To be considered for the role of Associate Quality Engineer, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Computer Science Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7 (Pass out not before 2022).
• Excellent programming skills in Java and/or Python.
• Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• Exposure to cloud technologies is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks is an added advantage.
• Passion for testing and a strong attention to detail.
