Position: Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Follow the checklist for preparing incoming Inspection reports:

  • Execute the necessary steps to prepare detailed inspection reports for incoming materials or components.
  • Handling deviation parts during Incoming Inspection:
  • Identify and address any deviation parts encountered during the inspection process.
  • Coordinate with the cross-functional team (CFT) to obtain decisions and prepare Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) for resolution.
  • Ensure timely preparation of Inspection Reports:
  • Complete inspection reports within the designated timeframes to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Maintain records of rejection and rework:
  • Document and track records of rejected items and subsequent rework activities.
  • Monitor and enforce 5S standards:
  • Conduct regular monitoring of the department’s adherence to 5S principles to ensure a clean and organized workspace.

Audit subcontracted suppliers and prepare Vendor Audit Reports:

  • Perform audits of subcontracted suppliers to assess their compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive Vendor Audit Reports based on audit findings.

Prepare Vendor Ratings based on Quality and Delivery performance:

  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality and delivery performance and assign ratings accordingly.

Handle vendor-customer interactions:

  • Engage in effective communication and coordination with vendors to address any quality-related concerns or issues.

Monitor stock levels:

  • Track and monitor stock levels to ensure availability of required materials for production.

Provide support to the software development team:

  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure quality assurance activities are aligned with project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manual testing.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Good soft skills for effective communication and collaboration with the customer’s QA team.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) is a plus.
  • Freshers are also eligible to apply for this position.
