Job Description:

As an ETL Tester at Spruce InfoTech, Inc, you will be a crucial part of our data team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our ETL processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct ETL testing, validate data, and contribute to the successful delivery of data solutions. Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL Testing: Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
2. Data Warehousing: Work with data warehousing technologies and concepts to validate data pipelines.
3. SQL Skills: Write and execute SQL queries to validate and manipulate data.
4. Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
5. Test Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
6. Data Validation: Validate data completeness, correctness, and consistency by comparing source and target data.
7. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of ETL processes after changes or enhancements.
8. Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation and provide clear and concise test reports.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ETL testing and data validation.
• Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and SQL.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries.
• Experience with defect tracking tools and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
