Position: ETL Testing
Location: Bangalore (WFO)
Job Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced ETL Testing professional to join our team. As an ETL Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report defects. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and data engineers to understand ETL requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
- Perform data profiling and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- Identify and document data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies in ETL processes.
- Perform end-to-end testing of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Execute both functional and non-functional tests, including regression testing, performance testing, and data reconciliation.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain test data sets and test environments to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide accurate and timely test status reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ETL Testing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage, or Talend.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with data validation, data reconciliation, and data profiling techniques.
- Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python or Shell scripting, for test automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
