Key Responsibilities:

ETL Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to verify data accuracy and integrity.
SQL Queries: Create and execute SQL queries to validate data transformations and ensure data consistency.
Unix Knowledge: Utilize Unix commands and scripting to perform data validation and troubleshooting tasks.
Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and business logic.
Test Execution: Execute test cases, document test results, and identify and report defects or issues.
Data Validation: Verify data completeness, correctness, and consistency across various data sources and targets.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or enhancements to ETL processes do not introduce defects.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the efficiency and scalability of ETL processes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and resolve issues.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defects.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot data-related issues and work proactively to prevent future problems.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies in ETL testing and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an ETL Tester with 4.5 – 6.5 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and methodologies.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.
Hands-on experience with Unix commands and scripting.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive and self-motivated.
ISTQB certification (optional but a plus).
