Position: Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automated test strategies, frameworks, and scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals, to understand project requirements and design efficient test plans.
• Design and execute test cases and test scenarios, leveraging Java, Selenium, and API testing techniques.
• Identify and report software defects and track them to resolution.
• Analyze test results and provide valuable feedback to improve software quality.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation, and apply them to enhance the testing process.
• Continuously improve and optimize the existing test automation framework and infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality test scripts and frameworks.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure testability and quality of the software during the development lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills and expertise in test automation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer, with 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java and expertise in writing efficient and maintainable automation scripts.
• Proficiency in Selenium for web application testing, including test script development and test execution.
• Solid understanding of API testing techniques and experience in testing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex software systems and identify defects.
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and best practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
