Position: SDET 1

Location: Gurgaon, India (Corporate Office)

Overview: Ecom Express Limited, a leading logistics solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and experienced SDET 1 (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our team at our Corporate Office in Gurgaon. As an SDET 1, you will be responsible for automation testing of our products and ensuring their quality and reliability. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in automation testing and a strong background in product testing. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and design test strategies and test plans accordingly.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Identify and document software defects and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure testing activities are aligned with project timelines and goals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and analyze key performance metrics to measure product quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in test automation.
  • Provide regular status updates on test execution progress and test results to the project team.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to provide valuable insights from a testing perspective.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in product testing, with a focus on automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Good programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation.
  • Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
