As a QA Engineer at Qualys, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cloud-based security and compliance solutions. Your responsibilities will span a wide array of testing activities, from test automation to cloud platform security. Key responsibilities include:
- Cloud Platform Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong knowledge of any public or private cloud platform, showcasing your understanding of cloud technologies and their implications for testing.
- Distributed Software Testing: Utilize your minimum 2-3 years of experience in testing distributed backend software architectures, ensuring the functionality, scalability, and performance of Qualys solutions.
- Test Automation Expertise: Leverage your 2-3 years of work experience in test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
- Programming Skills: Apply your 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Python, Robot framework, and Rest APIs to create effective and efficient automated test cases.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Utilize your good analytical and logical reasoning skills to assess software functionality, identify defects, and provide valuable insights for improvement.
- Additional Testing Skills: Familiarity with Selenium, TestNG, and RestAssured will be beneficial in enhancing the quality of our testing efforts.
- Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers is a significant advantage, contributing to the testing of containerized applications.
- CI/CD and Build Management: Comfortably work with CI/CD build processes, manage QA environments, and utilize build management tools like Git, Bamboo, and Jenkins to streamline the testing and deployment process.
- Cloud Security Knowledge: Knowledge of cloud security and experience with any cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP will be highly advantageous, contributing to the security testing of Qualys solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a focus on testing distributed backend software architectures.
- Strong experience in test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications, utilizing tools such as Python, Robot framework, and Rest APIs.
- Proficiency in Python, Robot framework, and Rest APIs, showcasing your ability to design, develop, and execute effective automated test cases.
- Good analytical and logical reasoning skills to identify defects, assess software functionality, and provide insights for improvement.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and RestAssured will be advantageous.
