Job Description:

As an Oracle SCM Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Oracle ERP SCM solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of testing activities, and your contributions will be vital to delivering high-quality products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Extensive Experience: Utilize your 10+ years of experience in testing Oracle ERP SCM and QA ERP teams.
  • Quality Assurance Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of quality assurance and testing best practices, particularly within the context of Oracle Applications.
  • Timely Delivery: Meet aggressive delivery timelines, effectively coordinate with remote teams, demonstrate flexibility in managing time differences, and proactively resolve problems.
  • Manual Test Execution: Execute Oracle ERP manual test cases with a focus on functional aspects, adhering to the defined test plan.
  • Requirement Understanding: Understand requirements thoroughly, estimate QA effort using appropriate techniques, and prepare essential documentation, including test summary reports, test strategies, and test exit criteria.
  • Methodology Proficiency: Display expertise in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) methodologies, as well as a strong understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Client Interaction: Be an expert in client handling, coordinating with various stakeholders such as development teams, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), and internal teams.
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to lead projects from requirement analysis to project closure, actively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Guidance: Guide and train the team on Oracle ERP SCM and finance modules.
  • Test Case Understanding: Understand the functionality of different track-specific test cases, as well as end-to-end test cases.
  • Collaborative Testing: Collaborate with upstream and downstream application teams to execute end-to-end test cases.
  • Regression and System Testing: Execute regression and system testing to validate the stability and reliability of Oracle ERP SCM solutions.
  • Test Data Management: Collect, review, and validate test data to ensure accurate testing scenarios.
  • Defect Management: Report and track defects, ensuring timely closure and resolution.
  • Additional Expertise: Knowledge and experience in automation testing and Scrum Master practices will be considered an added advantage.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in testing Oracle ERP SCM and QA ERP teams.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance and testing best practices, particularly within Oracle Applications.
  • Proven experience in Oracle SCM, Order Management, and Inventory testing.
  • Ability to work efficiently within aggressive delivery timelines and coordinate with remote teams.
  • Proficiency in executing manual test cases with a focus on functional aspects.
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) methodologies, with expertise in Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills for client handling, coordination, and project leadership.
  • Proficiency in leading projects from requirement analysis to project closure, engaging with stakeholders.
  • Ability to guide and train teams on Oracle ERP SCM and finance modules.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to understand and execute different track-specific and end-to-end test cases.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with upstream and downstream application teams for end-to-end testing.
  • Experience in regression and system testing, including accurate test data management.
  • Proficiency in defect management, reporting, and tracking.
