Position: Embedded Testing Engineer (Automation Testing)
Location: Bengaluru, India

Futran Solutions, a leading technology solutions provider, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Embedded Testing Engineer specializing in automation testing. As an Embedded Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive products through rigorous testing and automation. If you have a strong background in embedded systems, experience with Vector Tools (CANoe/CANalyzer, CANStress), and proficiency in automation with Python or CAPL scripting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Test script development and execution: Design, develop, and execute test scripts using automation tools such as Python or CAPL scripting. Leverage your expertise to create robust and efficient scripts that accurately test the functionality and performance of embedded systems.
  • Use of Vector Tools: Utilize Vector Tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANStress to perform testing activities on automotive products. Familiarity with these tools is essential for conducting thorough testing of bus protocols such as CAN, UDS, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
  • Embedded Testing of Automotive Products: Apply your experience in embedded testing to ensure the quality and reliability of automotive products. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products’ specifications and requirements, and design test cases accordingly.
  • Test case creation: Collaborate with the development team and other stakeholders to understand the product requirements. Based on these requirements, create clear and comprehensive test cases that cover all relevant aspects of the embedded systems.
  • Test bench preparation: Set up and configure the necessary test bench equipment and tools required for conducting the testing activities. This includes hardware, software, and communication interfaces.
  • Test case execution and reporting: Execute test cases on the prepared test bench, following defined test procedures and methodologies. Record test results, identify defects, and document them accurately. Prepare detailed test reports summarizing the findings and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration and communication: Work closely with the development team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the testing process. Provide regular updates on testing progress, identify risks, and suggest strategies for mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in embedded testing, specifically in the automotive industry.
  • Strong experience with Vector Tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANStress.
  • Proficiency in automation testing using Python or CAPL scripting.
  • Solid understanding of bus protocols such as CAN, UDS, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware/software integration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases and reports.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
