Position: SDET – Python

Talentica, a leading software development company, is currently hiring a skilled and experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with expertise in Python, Selenium, Pytest Automation Testing, and API testing. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts: Utilize Python programming language, Selenium, and Pytest framework to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts. These scripts will be used to test the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software applications.

• Perform API testing: Design, develop, and execute API tests to validate the integration, functionality, and performance of our software’s back-end services. Utilize tools and frameworks such as Postman or Swagger for API testing.

• Conduct manual testing: Conduct manual testing as required to complement the automated test scripts. Identify, report, and track defects to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality deliverables.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and specifications of the software products. Collaborate with the development team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.

• Ensure test coverage and quality: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Monitor test results, analyze failures, and provide feedback to the development team for improvements.

• Continuous integration and deployment: Work with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Participate in the deployment process and ensure smooth and error-free deployments.

• Documentation and reporting: Maintain documentation for testing procedures, test cases, and test scripts. Generate test reports and provide regular updates on testing progress and results to the stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (B.E/B.Tech preferred).
• 3 to 6 years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium for web application testing.
• Proficiency in Pytest framework for automation testing.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Good understanding of back-end testing concepts and familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote or work-from-home setup.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
